About Aurore
Aurore Roche
Born and raised in France, Aurore has always had an active lifestyle and practised many different sports with a preference for the ones that could be practised outdoors. She started to travel in Europe and quickly left it to explore the rest of the world. Since then, she lived in Reunion Island, New Caledonia and has now settled down in Australia, first in Perth and later Byron Bay.
Aurore has developed a great understanding of body movement and function because of her extensive artistic gymnastic background with the French Gymnastics Federation and the studies of biomechanics*. She has been part of the Sports & Health industry for over 35 years.
For Aurore, it all began at a very young age when she became a competitive national gymnastics athlete. Through this career, she received an in-depth education on sport and lifestyle, including body connection, understanding, mental conditioning, nutrition and breath management. Then, she decided to share her passion and study to become a Gymnastics Coach and a French Federal Judge. Also came the opportunity to manage teams, volunteers, and gymnastics clubs and organise a variety of sporting events and competitions. Aurore’s fascination for body health, movement and biomechanics brings her back to school and continuously maintains professional training. After ending her career as a Gymnastics Coach, she started working as a Personal Trainer specializing in body weight training, body movement, flexibility and body alignment. In Australia, Aurore became a certified Remedial Massage Therapist* and was trained in Pilates Movement Therapy. To deepen her Yoga practice, and better understand philosophy, approach and other techniques such as pranayama, yoga nidra and meditation. Aurore then went to spend a few months in an ashram in Nepal and became a Tantra Yoga Teacher.
Aurore has worked with children, teenagers, adults, competitors and non-competitors and has developed a holistic approach, preferring preventive work. As a remedial massage therapist, she has collaborated at the HBF Health - Run for a Reason, the Master Games, the WA FLOW festival and supported patients at Solaris Cancer Carel. She has a great interest in improving body movement, consciousness, awareness, understanding, making a change in posture and improving athletic performance as well as the physical demands of everyday life. With a medical team and allied health care, she can help recover from a traumatic injury or surgery. Breathwork is significant during all sessions. You will be guided to maintain self-connection during bodywork. Aurore is adaptable and able to customize her knowledge, skills and experience to suit your needs to find your unique potential and achieve your goals. Her aim is to personalize your experience to make you feel and move better as well as overcome movement restriction and pain.
Today, Aurore is continuing her professional education journey and sharing her approach and skills by teaching both professionals and non-professionals through workshops, events and retreats.

Professional Approach
Aurore enquires and listens very carefully. Expect to be asked questions to help understand your concerns, your goals, the reason for your visit, your lifestyle and habits, and then assesses your posture/strength/flexibility. Every patient and athlete provides a complete health history. From there, Aurore will discuss with you the most appropriate and personalised treatment or training plan. As soon as you have given your consent, the sessions and the relationship with the Patient/Therapist or Athlete/Coach can begin!
Aurore believes that a healthy body must move freely and painlessly. She has developed a particular interest in mobilizing the joints and spine to restore healthy movement. It can treat large muscle injuries to rebuild proprioception, movement control, reduce scar tissue, and neurological memories responsible for stress and pain. Aurore can also address acute and chronic pain to target the source and reduce discomfort and pain. It can provide support for rehabilitation before and after surgery, while reshaping postural imbalance and awareness to restore functional movement and well-being. During the session, education and personal care are provided to allow you to understand what is happening, and actively empower yourself in your training, health recovery and daily life.
Aurore has a keen interest in helping people change their mindsets and habits through breathing and movement education, as well as body consciousness allowing them to restore balance independently.
She would love to be part of your care approach and be part of your integrated health team.
